Support for Our Churches
The Lehigh Mission District is an association of congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in portions of Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. The Lehigh Mission District supports various ministries through the cooperation and support of all of its member churches. These ministries include after school and summer programs for inner city kids, food banks and free meal programs, and fellowship programs for senior citizens, as well as other worthy ministries.

The Rev. Thomas Busteed
The Rev. Thomas Busteed received his MAR in Liturgical Studies from Yale University and his MDiv from Lancaster Theological Seminary. He was a church organist and music director for two decades before being ordained to Word and Sacrament ministry in the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the ELCA. He studied organ performance and sacred music at Lebanon Valley College while minoring in German. Thomas is a Lifetime member of the Mercersburg Society and has contributed articles to the New Mercersburg Review including: “AGNUS DEI: The Cost of Discipleship” (2017) and “Christological Images in J.K. Rowling’s Book and Movie Series ‘Harry Potter’”(2016).
